JUMVEA

JUMVEA - www.jumvea.or.jp/ - a good place to check if the exporter you are considering sending your hard-earned cash to for a Japanese Car, is registered with a trade organisation in Japan.

JUMVEA (the Japan Used Motor Vehicles Exporters Association) is a trade organisation for the auction motor exporters that are based in, or operate out of Japan.

It is worth checking to see if your chosen Japanese Car Exporter from Japan is a member of JUMVEA, because membershipof JUMVEA gives a degree of protection and some assurance of professional standards and responsibility. It is possible to view and search the JUMVEA members list at the JUMVEA website.

JUMVEA (JAPAN USED MOTOR VEHICLE EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION)

The stated purpose and mission statement of JUMVEA is ... "with the cooperation of our members, to exchange information, establish order of fair trade in the used motor vehicle industry, and endeavor forward the sound development of the used motor export business – while also conducting joint-business activities required by members, promoting economic activities for members, and improving their social and economic standing."

JUMVEA was formed on June 1, 1997 with the approval of the Japan Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), presently the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). 60 members joined JUMVEA at the beginning but every year the number of the members of JUMVEA has steadily increased.

JUMVEA's offices are located in Tokyo, Japan but membership covers auction traders and auction dealers from all areas of Japan.

JUMVEA trade members export used Japanese vehicles to almost every single country, and continent in the world.
